How this works

When we link to a product — for example, a damp-proof injection kit on Amazon UK, or insulation material on ManoMano — that link contains a tracking code. If you make a purchase through that link, the retailer pays us a percentage of the sale (typically 3–10% depending on the product category and retailer).

Our editorial standards

Affiliate relationships do not influence our editorial recommendations. We write about products because they are suitable for the task described, not because they earn us the highest commission. Where a free or better-value alternative exists, we will mention it.
